321 Contact 1980
I lived in the foothills of Idaho Falls growing up. I never had any real neighbors so when I got home from school each day, PBS was my only friend and 321 Contact was my favorite show!
I especially enjoyed the episodes where they showed a time-lapse set up of a Kiss concert and that one time they went inside the Statue of Liberty. — Jesse
From Wikipedia:
The lyrics of the 3-2-1 Contact theme, composed by Tom Anthony, are rarely listed correctly online:3, 2, 1!
Contact
It’s the secret
It’s the moment
When everything happens
Contact
It’s the answer
It’s the reason
Why* everything happens
Contact
Let's make contact
3, 2, 1, (4 quick drum beats) contact!* “Why” in earlier version; “That” in later version.

What an incredible song. Perfectly orchestrated. Children and adults singing in a chorus of love for science.
I'd like to dispute those Wiki lyrics. They are clearly singing "is the secret/ is the moment". Perhaps they are referring to an early version, because the "4 quick drum beats" are missing at the end as well.
